Review: Smoke and Summons

Smoke and Summons Smoke and Summons by Charlie N. Holmberg
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I really struggled with how to rate this book. This is the first book I have read by this author. On the one hand, Sandis is an annoying character and the book gets a little slow due to repetition. On the other hand, I enjoyed the book enough that I want to read the next book of the trilogy.

I do enjoy books dealing with the occult (or an author's version of it), but this was tough to hang on to. I really hope the next book is better.

This book was a Kindle First (nka First Reads) selection for January 2019.
I read this book as part of the PopSugar Reading Challenge 2019 - A book that's published in 2019.
